Please can anyone give any recommendations for loose face powder?

Laura mercier. Worth every penny.

I've used Boots N7 for years and years. I don't think it is on trend these days to use powder at all but I cannot contemplate not using it!

By Terry hyaluronic. Got it as a little freebie and love it

Second Laura Mercier

This is my holy grail product - best by far for me.

WeAreTheHeroes · 10/09/2022 05:41

Boots No.7 here too.

LuubyLuu · 10/09/2022 05:45

Third for Laura Mercier.
Although Boots No 7 is a good runner up.
I think if you need loose powder (oily skin) you really can't do without it!

Laura mercier

Why is there so much hype around LM? It's seems like bog standard powder to me. What am I missing? There are more finely milled powders that I prefer. By Terry, Kevyn Aucoin, Hourglass, Armani for example. They all cost a bit more than LM but so much better. IT cosmetics is better too and cheaper. Which LM are people using? I've tried 'translucent loose' which I think is the original and 'invisible loose'

I like Collection 2000. Maybe I'm just cheap!

Inklingpot · 10/09/2022 07:46

Laura Mercier.

If you’re buying the light catcher version, be warned that it’s VERY glowy. It was a bit much for me so I mixed it with the normal translucent version which took the shine down a bit.

Yep, I would cast the same votes. Loose powder is an absolute must for oily skin. But I still mourn the loss of Corn Silk loose powder, such a shame it was discontinued!

Mrsalwaysworried · 10/09/2022 07:58

By Terry hylauronic is great, I didn’t get on with Laura Mercier, I don’t know why but it made me look like a cakey ghost. Not sure what I did wrong as other people swear by it.

Pinkywoo · 10/09/2022 07:59

Lily Lolo is good, they do a loose mineral powder foundation or a setting powder.

OldTinHat · 10/09/2022 08:09

Corn Silk! I loved that! Am still trying to find a something that works so following with interest.

TheVolturi · 10/09/2022 08:53

W7 Banana Dreams is very good.
