Good quality coat for big 10yo?

Has anyone got any suggestions of brands of decent quality coats? My dc’s have always worn Polarn O Pyret but my 10yo is now really tall (although very skinny so a nightmare for trousers) and the age 11-12 coat is now a bit short in the sleeves and they don’t do bigger sizes.

I bought him a waterproof from North Face that’s just arrived but it feels really poor quality and more wind/ drizzle proof than actually waterproof. We do lots of long walks so it does really need to be nicely warm and waterproof but also ideally fairly plain as it would be his school coat too. Any suggestions? I don’t really know where to start looking.

Boden always do a good warm coat but often their patterns can be off putting. This one isn't bad.

And there is always a code.
