£200 for a handbag

Day to day, fairly large shoulder bag, a couple of pockets and ideally two sections but would be happy with one big compartment.

I've been looking in the Michael Kors sale but not sure about their reputation really.

What bag would you choose?

OP take a look on something like Selfridges or Net-a-porter. When you want to make a really big bag purchase there are soooo many more stylish and current options than Mulberry which although a MN fav is very staid and not very current a brand.

I see you’ve bought one already so I’m a bit late but Fairfax & Favor do some nice bags, although they’re a bit more than £200 if you can stretch to it. They also have a Depop sale.

I have two coach bags, one was a FB marketplace bargain, in oxblood its really well made, lovely leather and hardware. The other is a small black evening sort of bag with a chain strap, equally nice but only big enough really for phone debit card and lipstick. Lovely quality bags.

I have some nice Modalu bags but I think they are no longer in business unfortunately

House of fraser have some nice Ralph lauren bags also Hugo boss too.

If you have any friends travelling from the U.S have a look at Cuyana. Great quality bags.

Tkmaxx have loads of Osprey and Kate Spade in at the moment

Clicked on this thread to recommend The Tannery, purveyor of nice leather goods in Holt, Norfolk. Their website is a horror, but they do actually have nice bags.

But I love the Osprey and the Fairfax and Fowler! (what is it about birds of prey and bags? what's the link?) I am unlikely to be in the market for a handbag anytime soon, but will remember these. So, cheers, OP, for the thread, very handy.

I nearly bought it when you posted the first link but I see it's pinker in real life so am glad I didn't (perfectly lovely colour but wouldn't suit my wardrobe).

@BorkledDrek oh yes that is very lovely isn't it! I just got a Paul Costello purse in the sale on ASOS and it's gorgeous. Do it! The bag I'm replacing is a lovely purple and I got lots of compliments about it ☺️

@BorkledDrek i really like the purple, i never put my laptop in my handbag even if it's big enough as feel like it's too much weight, so really why would not being big enough for a laptop stop you?! And a massive bargain too.
