Has anyone brought this and what did you think of the quality, fit and material? I really want to purchase a go to dress which I can dress up or down for any occasion.

I have about 18 in different prints, it’s excellent as you can wear it with trainers in the summer, to work, with boots in the winter and also it’s breastfeeding friendly.

Material is nice and quite heavy so hides lumps and bumps.

Buy one to try on but then look on the FB group “silk Fred preloved” as people are always selling them new / nearly new / second hand

The dress is by dancing leopard which some people dont like as they're polyester heavy. Silkfred is more like a storefront for multiple retailers so you can't go by what other people say about the clothes they buy from there.

I have it in about 6 different colours/designs.

Luckily I can sew as at only 5ft 3" it reaches to the floor, so I've lopped 6" off them all.

Super comfortable dresses, although I do find the neck drags backwards for some reason so I do have to tug it forward occasionally when I'm wearing it.

Polyester heavy but having said that I always get loads of compliments when I wear them and they are a bit of a go too when I can't think what to wear!

AX Paris have started making similar dresses. There are more of a midi length, but on my 5'1" frame, they are more of a maxi.

Love it. I have several. They used to make an even better one but dove is great.

AmbushedByCake1 · 05/09/2022 14:31

I ordered one of these and returned it, it looked really cheap in the flesh.

Bettyboo12 · 05/09/2022 15:03

Ah not sure about the polyester but interesting there is a preloved FB page. What are the similar AX Paris ones?

AX Paris Dress

Hopefully that works and should take you to similar dresses they have.

Ordered it to try and absolutely hated it. At 5'2 and size 8 it swamped me but may be flattering on someone taller and curvier. Personally I felt it made me look like Dumbledore in his best robes. Quality and material wasn't great for the price.

Housenoob · 05/09/2022 20:34

I have one and at 5'3 it's definitely a maxi dress on me, I have to wear my highest heels otherwise it touches the floor. The material does feel a bit cheap and I have to do the waist belt up really tight. But having said all that, it's comfy and I get a lot of compliments every time I wear it. I may buy another although I do think some of the prints are a bit garish.

Nomorefuckstogive · 07/09/2022 23:15

It didn’t suit me. Too long and too much fabric in the skirt for me; I’m 5’5”.

Angelajbaxter · 20/11/2022 23:56

This could be me... I have loads of these, they're all too long but I love them! So versatile...
