Toast help - for sentimental reasons

I am a long-term Toast fan and have a few quality pieces.

I stumbled across this dress which seems to be made from identical fabric to a table cloth my parents were given for a wedding present in the 70s. Don't laugh- I always loved the table cloth and remember it from childhood.

My mother died in January and I always associate this pattern with her. When I saw this dress I immediately wanted it, but it's sold out in my size (Small in Toast). I live in Ireland and there aren't many Toast stockists so if anyone can help me track it down I'd be very, very grateful.

I don’t live near any stockists so can’t help, but my parents had the same tablecloth and I also felt very nostalgic when I saw it. I hope you find it OP.

It must have been a popular tablecloth! I remember bringing the matching napkins to school in my lunchbox in the early 80s.

Have you tried calling them? They may be able to check whether any of the stores have it in stock in your size.

Yes, the online chat can tell you in a minute if any branches have stock left. I've had stuff posted out from branches that had sold out online. Or have you already tried that?

That's a wonderful reason to buy something! You can ring individual stores. I don't know what your do if they have it in stock but that's for the next stage of problem solving.

That hadn't occurred to me; great idea! Hopefully they would have no problem sending to Ireland from a store. Thank you all for the suggestion. I would really love to get this dress

It looks quite a simple design so, if you can't track it down in your size, it could be worth buying it and having it altered

Definitely agree with phoning Toast and explaining to them. They might be able to help you find a small, put you on a waiting list for if one gets returned, or maybe help you get some of the fabric instead. I once asked a posh shop (Rachel Comey) about a print I loved and they agreed to sell me some of the fabric at a bargain price! If no luck, set up an alert on eBay as it will come up.

No laughing from me, I’m tempted by this jumpsuit-my parents had their suite covered in this fabric in the 70s!

I’ve just been looking on Vinted for pricing inspiration as I’m planning to sell some of my own Toast clothing soon, and I spotted what I think is the same dress in XS if that’s helpful @Thesheerrelief

@Thesheerrelief its not mine, I just spotted that someone is selling one on Vinted - hopefully if you do a search it’ll come up (I do hope I’m right and it’s the same one)!

@paintyhands I did have a look and found it! I am wondering if XS is too small. I'm a size 12 in real life so usually take a S in Toast
