Flat back studs?

I have quite a few cartilage piercings and have always worn a variety of small silver studs with traditional butterfly backs. Someone told me about flat back studs which appeals to me- you can sleep in them! Has anyone got any recommendations? There's lots on Etsy obviously but I want to know what's good.

Some of my earrings have a ball at the back and some have a flat back. Think I've bought from piercing mania before. Or check what a tattoo/piercing studio has available

The flat back ones are labret studs

Google helix studs and you can see the ones with the labret backing

I have lost so fucking many of these I’m going to take my chances with butterfly backs even though flat backs are supposed to be better. I can also sleep in butterfly backs without much bother although I tend not to.

The last time I got a piercing done he used flat back studs which were great but the actual studs they sell are quite large, I want something daintier.

With Bling have some nice dainty earrings that have a labret post option.

I buy from withblinglondon on Etsy. You can choose flat or baubles on the back, and the length and width of the post.

Lots of the high-end jewellery brands do these - they are anything advertised as internally threaded. Junipurr, neometal, inari are some of the brands. I get mine from my local piercing studio which has a great range. They are more easy to lose though, I’ve had a couple ping out after a shower.

I have a Maria Tash flat back diamond stud, the back is a little flower shape

I haven't seen 9ct labret studs with gauge choices anywhere cheaper than withbling. They also do titanium posts.

Thanks all, have ordered some now!

My only issue with flat back earrings is that posts are inevitably thicker than butterfly ones, as they need to be able to screw on. And for some of my piercings, the posts are just too thick and feel uncomfortable

I've had these from Etsy, both great
