Hi all
I am getting married in a registry office and having the after do in a local restaurant / cocktail bar.
It's going to be low key and more cocktail party than wedding (we will both be 40 with older kids)
I have fallen in love with this dress

And dp has said he will buy me designer shoes up to £650 as my wedding present , so I was hoping to get a cheaper version of the dress and some
Shoes I will wear again but are designer as it will be the ultimate treat
I don't do style or shoes, live in gym kit but can do heels on a night out - so please can you give me some inspiration?

To be honest I'd not invest in shoes unless I really, really wanted a particular pair, I'd ask for the money for a bag for the honeymoon instead :D I have rock studs, some Sophie Websters and a pair of CLs but I coveted them for a long time, in reality there are plenty of dupes for shoes of a similar look imo- DUNE do some lovely ones.

I'm curious OP as you say you have big boobs, what will you do with them in an open-backed dress?

I also have large norks and so avoid open-backs because I can't go braless. Are there some wonderful nork-securing options I'm unaware of?

For shoes I'd go for nude rather than white these are rather lovely

I really love the bing 100. I would consider wearing black and white so that I could get lots of opportunity to wear the shoes.

They are fake, I do a lot of sport (competitive athlete, train 1-3 hours a day) so it's the only way to have boobs for me!

Have you looked at renting the Alex Perry dress, @bjjgirl? There are a few places you can rent designer dresses and it would mean you get to wear the dress you love at a fraction of the cost.

The downside is, of course, you don't get to keep it, but most wedding dresses just end up in storage and then eventually charity-shopped 😄
