Intensive moisturiser for face

I was caught unawares by how sunny it was last month and now looking closely I think my skin caught a good bit of sun damage and looks dryer.
Can anyone recommend an intensive moisturizer (or other product) to give it a boost?
Skin is usually quite balanced with a shiny nose and dryer patches on my cheeks but good overall.
Early 40s.
Thank you 😊

Are you wearing sunscreen? Unless you’re wearing high SPF sunscreen every day, any skincare is just pouring money down the drain.

I have a dry patch that seems to be getting better with Cetaphil intensive night cream, on offer at Superdrug atm. But yes, you definitely need sunscreen all day every day too.

Cerave is fab.

For a really rich intensive cream, I don't think you can beat Weleda Skin Food - I absolutely love it!

I’ve been using Aveeno cream after developing dermatitis on my face (for which I’m also on oral antibiotics because it got really bad) - it’s light but super moisturising and if I put it on at bedtime I wake up glowy.

Dr Organics Manuka Honey rescue cream.

I sometimes use aveeno if I have a psoriasis flare up (sometimes on my face) aveeno is the only thing that will touch it
i sometimes use the aveeno even if I just feeling extra tired it really seems to help my skin

I came on to recommend Skin Food.

Maybe try a hyaluronic acid serum like Hado Labo, on damp skin, before moisturiser too.

I came on to recommend this as well. When my skin is parched I put on a thick layer of this and my skin soaks it up.

I love La Roche Posay Baum B5. Doesn't clog my pores either and I wake up with baby soft skin

Weleda skin food for me too, I have tight, flaky patches without it.

BryceQuinlanTheFirst · 03/09/2022 22:00

I use raw shea butter and vaseline over if I need a boost.

My favourite moisturiser is the La Roche Posay baume or Toleriene (sp) one.

You need consistency with skincare. Good cleanse and moisturise. Morning Spf

Thank y'all for the recommendations.
I don't use a daily SPF (I know, I know, that's the cause of this issue!) I will improve!!!!
