Bleach free cotton wool

LadyEloise1 · 03/09/2022 12:20

I suffer from eye allergies. I don't know what causes it.
It happens after I remove the mascara with eye make up remover and cotton wool. I have tried so many different eye make up removers.
Someone suggested perhaps it's the cotton wool.
Is there bleach free cotton wool available ?
Is organic cotton wool bleach free ?
Thank you in advance.

I'd skip the makeup remover entirely & just use a gentle cleanser & lots of warm water. Then a second cleanse. I don't use makeup remover & I wear eyeliner & mascara.

I'd try using a flannel rather than cotton wool. The loose hairs in the wool could be the irritant not the bleach in the wool.

Get some real cotton facecloths or the smaller makeup remover pads that are washable. I got some bamboo fabric ones from Superdrug.

And try olive oil! 5 drops on a damp face cloth takes mascara off

Try these cloths - www.argos.co.uk/product/8962676 (you can also get cheaper version from primark!)
