Can anyone advise on how to soften the stitches on the inside of the strap? Recently purchased, and this is the only area that I think will rub. It's the stitching that is against the ankle. Haven't worn them yet so I want to minimise them hurting from the off! 😊

I rubbed a candle around the inside of the straps of my doc sandals. Felt like a weird thing to do, but actually worked.

Thank you! Do the stitches get softer eventually? Seems to be where they are double stitched to finish them off. 🤔

@Carbea did you try that tip? I've just bought some and they rub in the same place

Carbea · 27/08/2023 10:22

Yes, but they still rubbed. I wore them around the house with socks for a while, and eventually had to stick small plasters over the stitching. That did the trick. 😁

Aah ok, yes I thought about plasters myself!
Just pondering whether to take them away with me!

I sent mine back, that solved the issue 😅

Just persevere. Mine are really comfortable now. I'm taking mine on holiday this weekend 😁😍
