How to style myself

I need a couple of business casual (more business than casual) dresses. I suit plain wrap and Tulip shapes in a drapey fabric. I have seen quite a few around but it hit me that this was my staple pre kids work outfit in the 00s.

How do I style this kind of thing so I don't look old fashioned. I am not a style maven by anyones assessment and I do know what suits me but what footwear/other accessories can bring me up to date a bit.

I struggle with heels. Also I can't do the straight cut blazers around, they swamp me totally. I love and have a couple of fitted blazers but whilst I'm happy to wear them with jeans/trousers I don't think they'd help here.

Any suggestions?

This dress for example would suit me brilliantly and be smart enough to see clients in their business casual office. But I swear I had it 25 years ago!

What size and how tall are you?

I was a massive fan of a tulip skirt in 2007!

Marks have some lovely crepey dress in yesterday when I was in store. And skirt and tops in 'the edit' bit. Loads of workwear in at the moment.

I'm a short chubster 16/185 ft 4.

It's not the dresses bit I struggle with tbh, it's the whole outfit. How do I make myself less dated whilst still suiting my shape
