Daith piercing

Recently had a cartilage piercing, which I really like.

I’ve always wanted a daith piercing though, like for a long long time, just never really found anywhere close & reputable that does them, until today and while I have a few days off work I’m thinking of going for it.

Is it okay to have another piercing when you’ve recently had another done?

This was my easiest piercing honestly. I had it done at Maria Tash.

FirstFallopians · 01/09/2022 23:17

Easiest for me as well- it’s so tucked away it doesn’t get knocked or snagged like other piercings. Healed very easily.

I’ve read that apparently four piercings is the max to have healing at any one time, so another one should be ok if you’re in good health.

GenialHarryGr0ut · 01/09/2022 23:18

It's fine. My piercer recommends no more that four healing.

My daith took about six months to heal and I had some dreadful piercing bumps but since it healed it's been a dream piercing with no problems

GrimDamnFanjo · 02/09/2022 00:41

My piercers will do max of three and I've had two together.
My daith was tricky as I've quite small ears, but now it's healed I love it!

I've had three heal at the same time without any issues

Its massively helpful if you have multiple piercings healing that they are all on the same side, makes sleeping much easier

Yes! Currently have one fresh in the left ear and a still healing on the right.

Not my smartest move!

This is getting me thinking, I have two healing in my right ear so am thinking by November I’ll be in safe ground to have some in my left. Current thinking is Daith, contra conch and… something else… ideas welcome! I have a double lobe already and have ruled out third lobe and forward helix as I have those in the right ear.

Well it’s done & I love it! It was very quick & I didn’t find it too painful, a bit of a pinch. It feels a little ‘achey/sore’ but it’s not worrying me.

To be honest, I haven’t been able to get comfy with a pillow at night since my cartilage piercing, I’m a side sleeper & I tend to swap sides as well, a lot! So I’ve read somewhere that a travel pillow can help with this, so I’ve ordered one from Amazon, hopefully it will prove to be more comfortable!

You'll be fine, I had a double helix, Tragus and conch done in the space of about a week (mid-life crisis).

Just keep in mind which side you have it on because for a while I was only comfortable sleeping on my back because both ears were involved 😭.

A year on and all healed perfectly normal and I love my customisable ears.

guessagain · 03/09/2022 22:12

So I feel a bit daft like, I was curious how they actually pierce the daith & watched a couple of videos on YouTube - so the client lay down on their back & turns their head to the side right? Me? Well I just laid on my side! It never occurred to me to pay on my back & get all comfy! Duh! Talk about awkward positioning!

Eeiliethya - I think I could be going through a mid life crisis. I’ve just been thinking that my piercings are not ‘bling’ enough - don’t get me wrong I’m not at all fancy, but they are just plain at the moment. I was thinking if I get a normal lobe piercing with a blingy sparkly stud that will even things out nicely 😁and that will that me to 3. I could imagine DH would start to get quite scared, shit, I’m scaring myself, going from someone who never ever wears any jewellery of any sort to two piercings in as many weeks! Maybe I’ll wait til xmas for that bling!

@guessagain can you share a picture of your new piercing?

Monster80 · 11/02/2023 13:23

My piercer says 3 max for once. You need to consider the side you sleep on and have the daith on the other side. I absolutely love mine and am praying it heals as well as the others on this thread!
