Soft bristled brush for sensitive scalp

I did do a search before starting this thread because it must have been discussed in the past, but the new search function is pants, so apols if this is a rehash.

Anyone got any recommendations for a soft bristle hair brush that isn't boar bristle?

My 6 year old DD cannot stand having her hair brushed (it is genuinely very upsetting for her, she's not just being difficult). We use detangling spray but she still hates it and overuse is making hair greasier. I've been using Tangle Teasers as her hair is thick, mid length & wavy, but of course these can be quite hard on the scalp, so I'm thinking a soft brush for now even if it just smooths the top layer of hair so it looks almost presentable tied up for school.

Try a boar bristle brush.

You can't beat a Mason and Pearson bristle brush, pricy though. My great aunty bought me one after having hers 70 years, mine is now 20 years old and used daily. Best brush for my daughter's knotty hair

Not a bristle brush but a Wet Brush (brand). Both my niece (long/wavy hair) and son have sensory issues, and these are the only brushes they tolerate. Fantastic for untangling and really soft on the scalp. I use them now on my own hair as does my sister.
