Is there such a thing as comfy jeans?

I’ve had 2 children in the last 2.5 years so think I’ve worn jeans a handful of times in that time and not sure I’ll ever wear them again. Converted to comfy / supportive leggings, dresses etc. At a push maybe I’d wear the jeans with the soft control panel at the top but right now I can’t really think of anything worse than wearing a tight pair of jeans with the restrictive waistband:

So do comfy jeans exist?! Or anyone else feel like they’ve binned them off entirely too

I guess it depends on your shape- I got some 'mom jeans' (dreadful nameGrin) because they're comfy but I'm a pear - they accommodate bottom and thighs nicely but I do have a waist.

I just got some comfy pull on ones from Simply Be as I have had a bit of trouble lately doing up zipped ones 😬.

Yes, depends on your shape tbh. When I was overweight I struggled to find comfy jeans as I carried weight on my stomach, and the waistband always dug in. Now I'm much thinner, jeans are comfy again as ones that fit properly on my bum aren't tight on the waist.

I’d say I’m a doughy hourglass, my youngest is only a month old so I still have a squishy stomach. But I haven’t actually tried on jeans since before I got pregnant tbh, when I only wore topshop Joni jeans which are sort of a cross between jeans and a jegging. The prospect of putting them on over the flab is not an attractive one.

maybe you’re right and I need to slim down a bit before trying them again

Jeggings are your friend.

SO cosy and comfy and not pinchy/tight. Fit beautifully. Smile

I love Uniqlo jeggings. Also their ultra stretch jeans are lovely, I did splits in them once and they didn't hurt or feel tight anywhere, waist included

It definitely depends on your shape, I'm a inverted triangle so very slim hips and bum but my waist is a size bigger so jeans for me always cut into my waist.

NYDJ (Not Your Daughter’s Jeans). Fantastic quality but not cheap.

I bought mine in the USA (it’s an American brand) but I’ve seen them in John Lewis and they have a UK website:

M&S supersoft ones (I'm still wedded to my skinnies but they do other styles)
