Styling wide leg trousers

I’ve finally found the right pair of black wide-leg trousers- yippee

they look great, but I’m now struggling with what to wear with them. They are mainly used for work with white pumps or loafers. So far have been French tucking a nice t shirt, but as it’s getting chillier nothing else is looking right. I’ve looked on Pinterest for inspiration and the sweaters paired with similar trousers on there are too shapeless and make me look bigger than I am / like a bag lady.

I’m 5’10” athletic build size 12 so this shouldn’t be too hard?!? please help!

Where did you get them from @Butterflysize ? I’m also 5 ft 10 and looking for new wide leg trousers!
Anyway I’d look at fine knit long sleeve jumpers. I’d tuck them into the trousers - wide leg trousers with something neat on top. Or, a slightly boxy/cropped jumper, French tucked?
Something like the attached photos?

I wear them with a fitted button down shirt.

@ChilliPB they are Saint + Sofia Camden- 34” leg. They are great!

i think perhaps a more close fitting knit would be better for me than cropped, I don’t feel like that suits somehow. I like it on other people! Will also try a fitted shirt thanks @Tabbouleh
