Changing shampoo & conditioner…

Is it me or does anyone else have to change their shampoo & conditioner every so often? I find if I use the same one for too long it makes my hair greasy & it has a funny feel to it.

Yes! I have a couple of different ones on the go and try and alternate to avoid that feeling

I change my hair products all the time. I have 2 or 3 bottles on the go. I don’t over use conditioner or mousse.
I know what you mean so I do find alternating between different shampoos does help. I let my hair “breath” from time to time.

Silicone build up maybe?

Try silicone free hair products? Or a clarifying shampoo? The redken works well for me.

My hairdresser told me to change shampoos fairly often ( about thirty years ago). It does seem to make a difference. I now do the same with washing liquid.

Which non silicone ones would you recommend? I looked at the Lush shampoo bars and they had ingredients in that weren't natural (but not sure if they were silicone?)

Yes I am changer, I swap between 3 different shampoos and conditioners and I often try different masks. It works really well and I get no build up of products and have nice shiny hair.

I have two shampoos on the go constantly.

Thanks all - which shampoo’s do people alternate? I know it’s all personal preference.

I’m currently using the L’Oréal elvive in the red bottle (for coloured hair)

That's what I do

I use the red L’Oréal one too, Pantene colour protect and a more expensive one called Spa something I buy from
my gym. I like Pantene shots and their 3 minute miracle mask in a gold tube and a L’Oréal orange and pink coloured container mask.

TopGolfer · 29/08/2022 19:07

I often shampoo twice and don’t use conditioner on the top half of my hair, just the ends and a bit above (never the roots).

dontgobaconmyheart · 30/08/2022 06:16

I use a gentle shampoo (faith in nature fragrance free) most days and then a couple of times a week or once a week use a clarifying shampoo designed for hard water areas. My hair just doesn't feel clean otherwise.

I don't use conditioner but will put a mask on the ends only once a month (or every few realistically). My hair is generally in good condition and not coloured so doesn't need much help but does get greasy if I'm not careful what I use or don't wash it often.
