Best body exfoliator?

I’m a bit disappointed this evening. Back in the day (pre-DC) I used to use Body Shop’s mango exfoliator before showering. It was ace, felt like rubbing gravel on my skin (😂) and got rid of all my dead/ rough skin before fake tanning.

I’ve got an event in a couple of weeks, will have a tan for it, and thought I should start exfoliating in preparation. I got the mango one again and am so disappointed. It’s more creamy now with less ‘granules’. For £18 a tub it’s not really done the job!

Can anyone recommend a really good exfoliator? I have the mitts and a body brush but would like something I can apply and wash off too. Thank you in advance!

I know a lot of people on here don't like the Frank coffee scrub but... while it is a pig to clean up, it leaves my skin feeling amazing.

REN sea mineral scrub is also fab but is much more expensive!

I bought a Soap and Glory body scrub a few months ago, think it was about £5 in boots. It's very grainy and leaves my skin feeling lovely and smooth, I use it in the shower.

I've just started using a japanese wash cloth. My skin is now soft and no dry skin. I used to have thicker skin on my shoulders and now it's gone. Nothing used to work. It's called 'a bit of rough' and apparently they last years. I don't need the body scrub.

I can't find a good one either. The yellow Garnier tonic one used to be fab but it's discontinued. Sparkle skin by Clinique is good but expensive. Like you, I want one that leaves me red raw!! The Japanese wash cloths aren't great either imo.
