Bridal jumpsuit -pls help me

Astronaut1298 · 28/08/2022 18:36

Hi all

I am getting married (registry office) and I am really struggling to find something I like :( as I am 5ft2, and a size 4

I am looking for something modest in the sense where I dont want something backless or short. I started looking into bridal jumpsuits, found some beautiful lace ones but theyre in size 8 regular so would be far too long

I have looked at petite dresses but theyre either backless, or with a massive slit down the leg etc.. please can you help me ?

Could you not get the legs took up?

Whataretheodds · 28/08/2022 18:39

What kind of budgrt?

Slightlystressedbride · 28/08/2022 19:01

Think very hard about your toilet strategy before signing up to a jumpsuit!

Astronaut1298 · 28/08/2022 19:02

I can spend up to £150. I could get the legs altered etc but in the past i've taken something to the tailor and they have said they can't take it in enough to fit me, that's why I would rather buy something in my size

could you stretch a little? there are companies who make jumpsuits
to fit on insta - some with sequins which are their bridal range and very very lovely

Pua · 28/08/2022 19:29

@Sunshineboo could you share the accounts? As wedding guest looking for a jump suit

Nancy Mac do made to measure bridal

Sunshineboo · 28/08/2022 19:41

@Pua thisisrosabloom on insta was the one i was thinking of.

there is also houseofflint on insta if you like linen and cotton fabrics

This wedding jumpsuit is available in size 4 and only 3/4 length legs, so maybe legs would be ok. £275 though

I think the idea of a bridal jumpsuit is fabulous. I've never heard of this! Hope you find one you like OP!

I bought all my bridesmaid dresses plus my wedding dress custom made to size from eBay for £250. Loved the dresses but all needed altering, most were too long. They'd made mine as if it had a zip back but it was lace up so way too big. However, for the money they cost me I was well happy. There's loads on eBay but I can't find a jumpsuit - might be worth a message though. Someone like this:

Another option is wish. May be a little too cheap, but much more likely to have your size as made for the Asian market. There's absolutely loads of different options. Here's one:

Michelle Collins’ wedding jumpsuit looked fantastic in the recent photos that I saw.

I can’t help with sourcing one but wanted to mention as I thought she looked stunning!

Backtothenineties · 28/08/2022 21:32

Sorry jumping on this post but saw you like a internet challenge and I'm going in circles trying to find

Size 12 wedding dress with sleeves with lace pattern rather than plain sleeves.
Wedding dress has to have high waistline and preferably have lace veil over the back trailing (don't know if I've described that right!)
Budget up to £600
Dress to be a bit different than normal dresses if possible maybe a shimmery pattern/white/grey colour lace?
Thank you in advance but I've had no luck finding something like this

Astronaut1298 · 28/08/2022 22:26

@Backtothenineties I’ll try! By high waist do you mean a line on the waist or empire (bridgerton style under the breast)?

QueenOfWeeds · 28/08/2022 22:30

The Reiss ones are great!!

Monsoon have this in their bridesmaid/flower girl range - it would probably look a bit young in real life, but goes up to age 15?

I think A line rather than right underneath the bust style Smile

Or do you want something more traditionally bridal / fitted? That’s harder to find in the budget but could look for pre owned / sample sale? More pointers and I might be able to find something better. I basically just went with what I’d wear in that brief!

same for This though it has the “veil” back you were looking for too - £600

I was after more traditional fitted dresses but wow the third link you posted (coast dress) I love and definitely considering this one if I can get a long veil to match. It's unique but still looks like a wedding dress.

If you think you can find any traditional fitted ones maybe where the hip bit flows out a bit more but not huge princessy style ( I hope this makes sense!) .
please post and apologies for derailing the original thread

Backtothenineties · 28/08/2022 23:32

Sorry I posted just after you posted the other 2 dresses. The dress on the first eBay link is perfect if it didn't have the buttons so visible on the back. It is beautiful but the buttons spoil it I think.
That's exactly the kind of style I meant where it comes in but flares out slightly. Thank you so much I now have 1 dress as a maybe and a picture of a dress in the exact style I want I could take to bridal shops to show what I mean. You should charge for your skills!
