I’m 38 and recently invested in no 7 P&P but am underwhelmed. I can’t use the serum anymore as it made my skin go funny.

I previously used soap or a face wash and just a moisturiser with spf so had high hopes. The person in boots nearly collapsed when I told her my “routine” 😂

Can you recommend me some other decent brands? I just want my skin to look healthy and feel nice although less old would be a benefit.

fyi I don’t drink, exercise and drink lots of water as well as use spf.

I'd stick with your old routine as it was working!

Watching with interest….

We’re the same age, and have a very similar ’routine’! I drink water/eat healthy/exercise, moisturise with an SPF and that’s about it. Occasionally I’ll pop a face mask on….. skin is ok, but alas it’s getting older! So hoping someone replies with a map to the fountain of youth!

I’m just worried because when they did their test thing at boots, with this weird machine, my skin dryness or whatever it was came out at 1 out of 5 😵‍💫😳

I alternate between these at bedtime https://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/true-skincare-organic-rehydrating-rosehip-rosemary-facial-oil-60048885 & https://www.superdrug.com/skin/face-skin-care/anti-ageing-face-cream/garnier-ultralift-anti-wrinkle-firming-night-cream-50ml/p/2194?gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInbap8Yk-QIVWuztCh2hRAiNEAQYASABEgKefPDD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I use a (L'Oréal) toner on a morning & "simple" face cream. My foundation is my spf coverage.

No fancy facewashes or anything.

The face oil is lovely & feels like a little treat.

Hi there, does your skin feel dry? Is it sore? If you want your skin to feel softer and nourished have a think about a cleansing balm. Not sure what your budget is but the Elemis one feel lovely on the skin and after cleansing but there are cheaper alternatives. I’d suggest it’s worth investing in some of the ordinary products such as the peeling solution and use once a week, hylauronic acid at least once a day under moisturiser and matrixyl at night. Face oils are lovely too under moisturiser but not essential. If you fancy retinol a good starter is the inkey list one as it’s gentle but effective. Of course there are more expensive alternatives but the above is a good starter. Btw give retinol 3 months before you see a noticeable difference. I noticed a difference after one application of the peeling solution. Hope that helps.
