Do actual hard copy catalogues still exist?

I saw an advert for La Redoute earlier and it's made me long for the days of settling down with the new catalogue and choosing my dream wardrobe.

Do real catalogues still exist? From anyone...Argos doesn't count! I mean a properly thick one not a fancy flyer from Boden.

Browsing online isn't the same. I know paper catalogues are ibad for the environment but I create surprisingly little waste in my daily life so please give me this one thing!

I keep getting ones from Lands' End. Love them!

I still get some. But for years now they have gone straight to recycling. Also they only ever show a small percentage of the items available online.

Even Argos have binned off their catalogue.

Ah! I used to love the Freeman’s catalogue! Then in the run up to Christmas I would spend hours cutting out all the things I loved and sticking them on paper for Santa! I miss the 80s/90s!

Oxendales keep sending me mini catalogues. I don't know if you have them in U.K.

Yes I get sent them all the time

I get mini catalogues, just highlighting the collection, eg Baujken, Hush, Me+Em, Woolovers, also some god awful ones where my details must have been sold. They never entice me to buy anything.

Yes I was inundated with the bloody things and had to make 2 calls to everyone of them to stop it.

I got a Bruar one the other day.

I usually get the Deerberg one.

And a couple of years ago they started to sent me Boden catalogues ("The best of British fashion!" I am not in the UK - I must have clicked a link here on MN)

I kept getting them unsolicited from Lands End, Seasalt, Boden, Bravissimo and probably loads of others. Basically everywhere I’ve ever ordered from even if years ago. Drove me nuts and went straight in the recycling. Eventually I worked out that I could just tell them to stop sending them and had a productive half hour on their respective websites doing so and it stopped. I can’t see why I’d want a catalogue cluttering up the place when, if I want to buy something, I can find far more up to date information including stock levels and current pricing on the website.

I get the mini ones and do admit to treating the spring/summer collections like a bit of a holiday brochure when they arrive in the dead of winter. Sit down with a cup of tea and look at the blue skies, rather than the clothes, which I sure is not the point but it makes me happy.

Gudrun Sjoden still do a catalogue. I just ordered the Autumn/Winter one yesterday.
