Is this type outfit OK?

I work in a casual industry (tech) I'm early 30s. I've been looking having my son last few years and I live in harem pants and super casual clothing.

I've got two training contracts which require in-office workshops. It will still be a casual type look but I don't want to look shabby or unprofessional. I want to look cool and effortless haha.

I'm a 10-12 dress size, 5ft 8, I have an easy body type to dress.

Do you think this type of outfit will look okay?

Are you the presenter or just attending?

BryceQuinlanTheFirst · 24/08/2022 14:04

I am delivering the strategy training. But it's for agencies in tech sector. Men tend to wear shirts or tshirts and jeans and trainers.

I’m in comms so I suspect the dress code is similar - that would be fine whatever you’re doing!

Looks great :) x

I'm just not sure how much use I would get out of trousers like this, would jeans be too casual?

I’m in tech too and I think that looks fine. I also don’t think anyone would bat an eyelid at jeans.

I was in the office at an event in London a few weeks ago (clients in attendance etc) and the vast majority were wearing either jeans or summer dresses.

That outfit looks great.

I have that shirt in a few colours and often wear them for work (in the tech industry).

Fab thanks everyone! Just needed that sense check

I like the outfit as shown, including the trousers.

JinglingHellsBells · 24/08/2022 18:53

Sorry but the shirt is just unflattering. It's baggy, wide sleeves and is just not nice. It looks like a short overall IMO.

The trousers are ok.

BryceQuinlanTheFirst · 24/08/2022 21:33

I don't need something that accentuates my bust and waist I'm delivering training to a bunch of men. I'm fine with baggy ☺️

Yes, it's fine, it looks cool and casual without being scruffy.

AquaticSewingMachine · 24/08/2022 21:40

I'd say it would be fine for tech with jeans (preferably not shredded ones), decent trainers and I'd wear a nice necklace or earrings.

That's the style. Not everything has to be about "flattering the figure".
