How would you wear / layer these dresses ?

Just got two new dresses in the sale and am keen to work out how to layer / wear them into autumn.
What would work ?
Don't want to realise I have to shove them back into the wardrobe for spring just yet!

Long 70s style boots?
Nice dresses, by the way...

thirstyformore · 22/08/2022 22:10

Long boots and long sleeved tight polo necks underneath? Bit of a 70s vibe....

AquaTorfanaa · 22/08/2022 22:15

Polo neck underneath with ankle boots or long boots. I'd go tan for boots and add a belt too. A good long (under your bum) chunky cardigan over the top would look great.

Ok you have made me order that first dress! I love it.

littlestowl · 23/08/2022 07:39

Oh I love that first dress! I ordered it but as I’m short so there was just so much material.

It’s very thin so I’d also go for something underneath.

Short boxy jumper over the top & boots!

Shinyandnew2022 · 23/08/2022 09:53

Thanks for the ideas and dress appreciation- I am pleased with them both and have worn the first one a few times with tan sandals already .
You know when you buy something and then is triggers spin off purchases ?? ( is that
Just me ?) I think I may need tan boots and a
Boxy jumper !
I don't own a belt or a polo neck either ( despite having loads of clothes!)

I do have navy and dark brown boots and a navy tank top that may work for dress 2
Think that one has more autumn stamina !

OK I love that first dress too!
Not bought this brand before. Does the dress fit big or small?

Shinyandnew2022 · 23/08/2022 10:12

@Rollerbird I think Baukjen sizing is quite generous generally - I could probably have sized down in it.
Their things are really lovely quality I have been buying from them for years.
Hope you like it when it comes

@Rollerbird - I agree a lot of Baukjen is lovely quality. I find they fit big and also the majority are designed for taller/broader women. I’ve ordered quite alot from them but as a short arse who is quite narrow usually end up sending it back, as even if they fit in length they are often just too full and swamp me.

Interesting feedback on the sizing I am not tall or broad just an average 5,6 size 12 ish pear I normally get on ok with tops and dresses but can find trousers tricky - but that's typical for me as a pear !

I think this year particularly the dresses and skirts have been very long and I think the style is for more material ( actually a sign of quality often!)? Previous seasons I’ve managed to buy the odd dress from them fine.

i am quite short though (5’ 2)!
