Need Holy Grail recommendations.

Even though I’m over on beauty hoarders anonymous, downsizing my hoard, I need some product recommendations.

I’ve run down my stash, run out of things, and need to start afresh, with just one good quality, or effective, item per need. It can be a value product, or high end. I’m more interested in effectiveness and trying to avoid having 4 things to do the same job.

So, please recommend your HG item for:

  1. Eye-makeup remover (that removes mascara well)

  2. Luxury body wash

  3. Luxury body scrub, or polish, or not! Maybe something else to invigorate and exfoliate.

  4. Hydrating body lotion

  5. A décolletage cream

  6. Eye cream

  7. Eye mask

I don’t use/need most of these things but hopefully bumping for you!

Eye-makeup remover - Clinique take the day off

Luxury body wash - l’occitane almond oil

Luxury body scrub - don’t use

Hydrating body lotion - don’t use

A décolletage cream - don’t use, just bring facial moisturiser down (Clinique dramatically different)

Eye cream - don’t use, just gently swipe with vitamin C serum

Eye mask - don’t use

Eye makeup remover- Nivea, removes anything
luxury body wash- I’m a jo malone or cowshed fan
luxury body cream- bum bum cream, smells amazing

I’ve been using body cream from the white company this summer and I’ve been really impressed by how effective it is at moisturising! The smells are so lovely, so this is a good discovery!

  1. Eye-makeup remover (that removes mascara well)

Clinique take the day off liquid, although I also really like the solid one that comes in a pot for your whole face.

  1. Luxury body wash

L'occitane almond body oil wash

  1. Luxury body scrub, or polish, or not! Maybe something else to invigorate and exfoliate.

Just get a handful of sugar and a slug of olive oil from your kitchen! I never buy body scrub.

  1. Hydrating body lotion

Aveeno

  1. A décolletage cream

Waste of money getting a separate one, just use your normal day cream (I like Clinique moisture surge)

  1. Eye cream

At the moment I am loving the Sunday Riley one I chop and change eye cream a lot. However I am never without the Clinique moisture surge one, and layer whatever else I've got on top. There's also a body shop one I keep repurchasing - oils of life, it's in an orange pot.

  1. Eye mask

Don't use, can't be faffed!

IHateHeatWaves · 22/08/2022 13:30

Eye mask

Just in case, I mean like an eye treatment, not a fabric patch to go over my eyes 😆

Erm. This might backfire as you'll end up buying loads of stuff!!!!

Mine are:

Olaplex 3

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream for lips and anything sore.

Lancôme bi facil eye make up remover

Paula's choice bha for blackheads

Skin and me prescription for tret

Korean exfoliating gloves

Footner

Elnette hairspray.

declutteringmymind · 22/08/2022 13:39

Sorry didn't read your whole list.

fufflecake · 22/08/2022 13:41

What a fun thread!

Eye-makeup remover (that removes mascara well) - lancome two toned stuff

Luxury body wash - ren kelp and magnesium

I don't use any of the other things!

fufflecake · 22/08/2022 13:42

Lancôme bi facil eye make up remover this is the one. I have sensitive eyes and this doesn't sting and removes everything

OhMerde · 22/08/2022 13:51

Clinique sparkle skin exfoliator.
Clinique Aromatics shower.
Palmers renew and retexture body lotion.

AlexandraJJ · 22/08/2022 13:53

This would be my choice

Eye-makeup remover (that removes mascara well)
ESPA

Luxury body wash
Cant justify as it just goes down the drain would rather buy ESPA body oil. The compromise for me is NUXE

Luxury body scrub, or polish, or not! Maybe something else to invigorate and exfoliate
Elemis although sweet almond oil, olive oil and caster sugar mix works just as well if not better

Hydrating body lotion
ESPA again although Jergens is good too

A décolletage cream
Skin is skin so I don’t have a separate one

Eye cream
As above although I do love the bio effect serum

Eye mask
Dont bother with this would rather layer matrixyl under a good moisturiser

The things that have made the most difference to my skin is the e cooking face mask, stings at first and the ordinary peel works just as well and retinol

AnchorWHAT · 22/08/2022 14:37

Eye-makeup remover (that removes mascara well) - baby oil

Luxury body wash- i buy nice smelling soap bars, seem to make me feel cleaner

Luxury body scrub, or polish, or not! Maybe something else to invigorate and exfoliate. - korean wash mitts

Hydrating body lotion- aveeno spray on for ease or any random one hanging around from gifts

A décolletage cream- i just rub my moisturiser down my neck and chest

Eye cream- currently using revolution miracle eye cream, seems very good

Eye mask - dont use one.
