I think they are old fashioned. I have some from the 90’s but my teenager is terrified that I might wear them…..

nokitchen · 21/08/2022 20:40

They are terribly uncomfortable

SocksAndTheCity · 21/08/2022 20:46

I like mine - I have some pretty rose gold ones. I can only wear them with sandals or flip flops though; they're not comfortable enough to keep on all the time.

BryceQuinlanTheFirst · 21/08/2022 20:53

I always wear them. I have lots of anklets and "hippy" type jewellery. I do lots of yoga too 😆 I'm early 30s. I like them, I like my toes.

comedycentral · 21/08/2022 22:56

They remind me of the 90's and the 90's fashion is back- why not?

abovedecknotbelow · 21/08/2022 23:07

I loved mine in the 90s, haven't seen any for years, might dig out my old ones! My kids would be horrified though.

Luredbyapomegranate · 21/08/2022 23:34

Ooh I had forgotten those. Loved them in the 90s.

bombemma · 21/08/2022 23:44

Mine have only been off once for theatre in the past 20 years. Love then

Anon778833 · 21/08/2022 23:44

They are painful - I’ve never worn one but they look it.

Ihatethenewlook · 21/08/2022 23:51

More hippy than chavvy

daretodenim · 22/08/2022 00:03

Who cares who else wears them or doesn't. Really, we only live once and if you're wearing toe rings and it makes you happy, then you'll look far better than not wearing them and wearing what you think you should/n't instead because you're afraid of stepping out of some box in your head.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, I can see if coukd carry across in that way but it's not my intention. Anybody who judges you poorly for wearing a piece of jewellery probably isn't worth your time or energy.

SizzlerFizzler · 22/08/2022 00:12

I wouldn't worry of they're chavvy or unstylish. Just pop 'em on your tootsies and see if you like they way they look. Like others I associate them more with 90s or hippy fashion.

procrastinator8 · 22/08/2022 00:17

Since you asked and since this is a style board - no they are not particularly stylish or fashionable :)

rocksonrocks · 22/08/2022 00:40

Ooh I love my toe rings! My husband finds them quite sexy too Blush

Karmakamelion · 22/08/2022 01:27

Ots part of my culture to wear them and I think that they are beautiful . I love mine and have worn them for the last 25 years 😘

StarlightLady · 22/08/2022 05:56

I’ve tried them and would wear one now but l don’t find them comfy. It’s like flip flops with added pain for me; pity!

AlannaOfTrebond · 22/08/2022 12:36

I've had one on for about 20 years now, I don't even think about it, it's just there. The extra little glint when I'm wearing flip flops makes me smile, couldn't care less what anyone else thinks.

Me too!
Had mine on for about 25 years and not sure I could get it off if I wanted to now!
