Smart raincoat

I'd like a lightweight raincoat but also a smart/fashionable one. My current one is so scruffy!
I don't mind splashing out a little as it's something that will get a lot of use (up to £300).

Can anyone recommend any brands that are nice?

Is Stutterheim decent (their ads are following me around!)?

I've got a couple of Protected Species raincoat and love them. They are lightweight and 100% waterproof. Nice muted colours.

I have a Stutterheim one and it's a lovely shape and colour, but it's very heavy and not really breathable (it's sort of flexible rubber). It's similar to the Rains ones which I think are a bit lighter.

I have a Rains one in grey. Functionally it is excellent - keeps you very dry. I don't find it smart though....I always feel a bit of a frump in it even though they are quite trendy. My style isn't really minimalist enough for me to feel comfortable in it. I think a trench and an umbrella is the only real 'smart' option.

I have the khaki Tour. It looks good and is so useful & non- frumpy.
M&S Stormwear:
The beige & navy blue car coats are gorgeous. I have the leopard print version that's sold out but I've also just bought the Navy. As a certain influencer featured it yesterday & they were selling out like hot cakes. I've been waiting in vain for ages for it to be reduced or for a Sparks discount.

Another vote for Protected Species! Absolutely love wearing mine, and it has held up very well!
