Autumn

There is a slight nip in the air this morning and it was dark by 9 last night . Autumn is on its way, my favourite season. Can we have a thread to share ideas about what to wear/buy?

I've spent several hours putting a Pinterest board together and now have a shopping list:

Wide leg cropped dark jeans - probably out of fashion but I like them.

3/4 length single button v neck camel coat

Chunky soled Chelsea boots

Cropped straight leg jeans that sit above Chelsea boots with socks showing

3 x crew neck jumpers (like the idea of cashmere but I prefer something I can sling in the machine)

Possibly loafers, but I have very wide feet so may have a problem finding some.

Re my plan to but wide leg cropped jeans. I was going to wear them with my white trainers until the weather turns. If I get the length right I might be able to wear them with the Chelsea boots. I'm 5 ft 4 and size 14 , aged 49. I don't want to look like a clown. Any idea where I should look? I've seen some in Boden but they are not quite what I was looking for.

always like some new bits to go back to work (school) in the autumn term - like new uniform! I’m in the process of weight loss so bought some cheapy bits, and come away from my typical tea dress look. Some wider legged trousers (not too wide as I’m a shortie), a couple of v necked jumpers and longer cardigans. Gone with a grey/light pink/burgundy scheme. Probably none of it in fashion but I don’t care!

Check out the merino round neck jumpers from Uniqlo. They are very fine knit, but warm, wash well and cost less than £30. They also usually come in lovely autumn colours 😍

I had a bit of a Vinted spree during the heatwave and got some bargain merino and cashmere jumpers.

Im stocking up on thermals as think it will be a cold winter!

I’ll see how the winter is, but might treat myself to some new boots, possibly a burgundy/cherry red.

Im after a deep red or green cord shin length dress. Not pinafore though which are everywhere

New ankle boot
Maybe some red cord trouser jeans

I was going to suggest these jumpers. I got one for £15 in the sale on a recent trip to London in a lovely burgundy colour. Not worn it yet but pleased to hear they wash well.

I have to confess that mine go in the tumble dryer too and come out unscathed. I’ve got loads of colours but the burgundy is one of my favourites. 😍

I've ordered the Uniqlo Merino crewneck jumpers in dark green and black . I am also awaiting some grey jeans from Vinted. I've got some Boden wide leg jeans on my watchlist from eBay. Just not sure I can carry that look off.

If the jeans from Vinted work out I imagine them sitting above a pair of chunky Chelsea boots with socks between. Maybe a loose v neck on top.
