Do you prefer plain or patterned dresses? This Ghost for M & S gets good reviews and is very pretty...skims, has sleeves, lots of colours to pick shoes from

Love that Ghost dress. M&S generally very strong on dresses at the mo. Also look at Oliver Bonas.

M&S have lots of well priced dresses. I would look at them first. Some of the midi ones are quite long so you might need to shorten a bit. I’ve upgraded my dresses this year and M&S dresses have certainly helped.,

Some of these are good value and are in the Sale. All would look good in my view but the jersey ones might not be quite what you are looking for.,

I wear dresses a lot - this year mostly from M&S as sone great choices at good prices. My other go to is Boden but have not lived much of their stuff this year.

I think accessories will also help add to look

TizerorFizz · 20/08/2022 21:36

I agree about accessories. Shoes and bag really lift an outfit.

I bought this one for my birthday garden party. So comfortable, with sleeves and not too long.

On Instagram have a look at marksandspencer_nicola she’s obviously paid by M&S to wear all their stuff but she’s a plus size short lady rather than a 7 foot tall size 8. She wears loads of their dresses & gives the links to buy them.

How about this - I am 5'6", size 18 to 20, with a definite tum and this is much better on, drawstring waist, good weight to the fabric and great with a little jacket. It was so good I also ordered the green! www.johnlewis.com/somerset-by-alice-temperley-crinkle-texture-tiered-midaxi-dress-black/p6321604
