Staple casual office clothes

Looking for inspiration please. I'm starting a new job for a charity where the office dress code appears to be quite casual.

I have no sense of style so my previous jobs in a smart office suited me well as I always wore black trousers and a blouse.

I'd love to have few staple pieces to wear but I honestly don't know where to start. Out of work I wear jeans and hoodies.

I'm 40 and a size 14 apple shape.

Charity job here. Wear what you have, feel comfy in. We're mostly jeans and tops, the odd dress. Trainers and flats but noone cares if you turn up in a dress or something posher.

My working environment has gradually become more casual. So where I might have worn black trousers and a blouse (or similar) we have become increasingly casual.

Not quite jeans and T-shirt as that for me is slightly too casual but I might wear very dark smartish jeans with an ironed shirt. (In fact that is a fairly typical outfit for me) Or black/grey trousers (not really formal ones) with a less formal top.
I get a lot of work tops from Next (next level up from totally plain T-shirt iyswim)

I've been wearing chinos and a smart top or midi skirt and tshirt.

Dress in whatever is easier for you. I work for a charity, and wear dresses every day. Denim and trainers are not allowed.
