Gel on toes?

Sorry if this is a really stupid question....Why do people get gel polish on toes? I see why you'd do it on hands. But I don't see why you need it on toes. Can someone explain please?

Because I hate nail varnish and how it chips 👍🏼

Because it lasts ages plus I always smudge polish and if I have it done in the salon they tidy cuticles etc.

I never get this either - can't keep nail varnish on my hands for a day without chipping it, but toes never get damaged and grow out before I'd need to re-do them (or get bored with them).

It doesn't chip. If you are on holiday, in and out of the pool or at the beach regularly it stays looking fresh far longer than polish would.

Gel on toes is fantastic! Looks glossy and fresh for ages. I always get it done for summer when toes are on show. Feet always look ready to go. I never get on hands... each to their own.

I only get it on my toes! Love doing it in the summer when toes are always on show. But then I'm pretty cack handed at doing them by myself.

Mine lasts muuuuch longer than normal varnish. About month. Plus I like how glossy it looks.

I get it on both toenails & finger nails (actually just back from an appointment now!)
Would nearly find the toenails nicer to do than hands; looks great, shiny, last for ages & my feet look acceptable instead of the horrible cloven hooves I have without it).

It lasts ages and looks lovely . I get it done 2 x a summer and looks great the whole time !
What don't you get ?

I just get a pedicure. Lasts ages.
I repaint if required.

I get 2 months out of gels. It very rarely chips and looks shiny and glossy.

And drying toenails takes hours. In the dead of winter who wants that? Gels - well you can put your socks on immediately!

Gel on toenails lasts at least 8 weeks for me without chipping or looking in any way less than perfect so it’s my ideal as I don’t have to worry about maintaining or removing/applying. I only ever have my pedicures done with gel in the summer time, most of the time in winter I don’t have them painted at all and will do a pedicure myself if I’m going out or to any kind of event/occasion.
