Has Mitchem changed it's formula?

I've used the non scented stick for donkeys years but noticed that the new pack I started a couple of weeks ago is not doing the job anymore. I don't mean sweating buckets but I have pongy armpits. I know it's been hot but the previous stick did the business and it was hot then!

I'm not sure. I used to use the scented, for years, but didn't find it as effective and the smell was odd. I switched to Dove cream stick after reading here about alternatives.

I'm not sure, but I use the ultimate one,.and it's literally sold out everywhere here. I wonder if they are discontinued?

Mystery2345 · 16/08/2022 14:26

I wondered this, with the powder roll on I recently bought. Hmmm

bookwormish · 16/08/2022 21:01

Yes I've been wondering this too. Certainly not lasting as long. It's not the heat either as we live in the north of Scotland. I've swapped to pitrock & seems fine!

I messaged them and they said it was due to supply issues.

LittleBirdBlu · 16/08/2022 21:15

I thought this, I've used the powder one for a long time, and it's my absolute favourite, it's never let me down before, but even before the first heatwave so not that hot, it didn't do its job. I tried the coconut one, same thing. I wonder if they have changed their formula. I'm using Dove cream now and that's been working great!

Chickadeeandchic · 16/08/2022 21:15

The original one is fine for me but the new bamboo version is awful

Gatekeeper · 18/08/2022 13:24

Glad it's not just me being an absolute stinker then!

Peripeteia · 18/08/2022 13:27

I thought this exact thing the other day OP!

VerifiedBot2351 · 18/08/2022 13:29

I found the same, so switched to Triple Dry. It’s a bit more expensive, but tends to be on offer alternately at Superdrug and Boots.

TomAllenWife · 18/08/2022 13:30

I agree, I'm definitely more stinky by the end of the day

What are the best alternatives?

I don't like the sure max sticks

CapturedLeprechaun · 18/08/2022 13:31

I also thought the exact same thing OP so it's not just you!

Orangesandlemons82 · 18/08/2022 13:32

I have the mitchum spray and am finding I need to top up through the day when I never did before.

VerifiedBot2351 · 18/08/2022 13:32

@TomAllenWife I use Triple Dry now.

JengaCupboard · 18/08/2022 13:33

Totally agree - been using the roll on for years and of late definitely doesn't work well - no sweating but as PP - feel I smell slightly sweaty by the end of the day.

I'm back on dove original roll-on and it's way better.

TomAllenWife · 18/08/2022 13:37

@VerifiedBot2351 is it in supermarkets?

isthismylifenow · 18/08/2022 13:37

I am in another country and it has been in short supply here too. Its part of the Revlon group, so I was thinking that might be why.

My dd changed to the men's Old Spice stick, and she says she will never use anything else, as that works really well.

magicstar1 · 18/08/2022 13:45

I've had the same problem recently. I thought it was just me being extra stinky, so I'm relieved to find it's not.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 18/08/2022 14:10

I tend to buy a few at a time so I'm still using old stock I think. I did buy the new scent (Flower Fresh) and found I smelled bad, but I thought that was due to the scent not me so I don't use it now.

It's annoying if it's not going to work anymore as it's one of the very few that I'm not allergic to.

VerifiedBot2351 · 18/08/2022 14:15

@TomAllenWife yes, in big supermarkets. I tend to get it in Boots or Superdrug though, as they are often on offer there.

RudsyFarmer · 18/08/2022 14:16

I only use men’s roll on and they work great every time.

TomAllenWife · 18/08/2022 14:38

Thanks @VerifiedBot2351
