Recommend a lipstick please

I’m constantly searching for a nude lipstick that suits me. I am fair with some roseacea. I suit cool colours. I go for blue based pinks etc. so no orange tones. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have lost count of the amount of lipsticks I’ve bought that I use once & discard.

You need a rose toned shade or soft plum/mauve, don't even think about any caramel or beige shades as they will make you look dead. 😂

Try Chantacaille, their natural colours seem to hit perfect. I think the texture and sheerness help. You'd need to find a counter to find your shade though. I bought three online in lock down and they are all natural and perfect in slightly different shades. Usually I buy lipsticks and end up throwing them away.

Basically discount any lipstick which is described as nude as it won't look nice- I have the same colouring.

You need pink.

I have the same issue with nudes/browns and have to go for a mauve/pink.
What does work for me is the MAC lipstick by Nic Chapman which was a limited edition one. It's a peachy pink.

I have cool colouring and struggle to find lipstick to suit me - the only ones I've found that do are Rimmel Soft Hearted and Rimmel Snog which is a gloss.

You certainly need a pink tone with your colouring I use Clinique Chubby Stick in Primrose its expensive as lipsticks go but well worth the cost lasts all day and stays true to colour.

I've been looking at soft hearted recently, think I might purchase.

Rimmel Asia works very well for me, pale, cool tones blonde hair. I recently bought Rimmel vintage pink which looks lovely in the tube, or even on my wrist to sample. Once applied it was the exact same colour as the purple chewits sweets. Looks awful on me.

Not many lipsticks suit me.

Rimmel snog gloss or Asia lipstick
Also Mac Faux lipstick

Just remember I have the Mac Nic Chapman one but as previous poster said was limited addition however Chanel boy is similar and very pretty, but not cheap.

If you mean neutral rather than nude, the Perricone MD No Makeup Lipstick in Original Pink is a great lipstick.

I’ve got similar colouring to you. As others have said you need a pink/mauve tone as your nude. Try nudes are never going to work. I like Bobbi Brown Sandwash pink and Mac Brave.

I believe the Bobbi Brown one is the one that Kate (HRH) wears.

Definitely pink/mauve. Mac brave is nice? Also faux but I think you need to see them in person so worth going into a store. I was set to get velvet teddy but it would actually make me look like a corpse it's so brown!

I find Faux a bit dead looking on me but not enough to bin it. My nudes are Clinique colour pop matte in blushing pop. This is a mauvy brown and a step up from nude and just on the cusp of being too brown but I like it nevertheless. Clinique colour pop even better foundation lipstick in Blush. Revlon just kissable lip stain in honey (ebay?) I quite like Max factor exilar lipstick in Firefly and Raisin. Estee Lauder Rebellious Rose. Clinique colour pop in Plum Pop, not really a nude but so easy to wear. Mac Craving, not really a nude but once again so easy to wear.

Just checked mine isn't Faux, it's Brave🤷‍♀️

My favourite is from Bobbi Brown. I am not in the house right now and I can't remember what it's called but I would recommend a trip to their counter at a department store. My colouring sounds really similar to yours.

I've been using clinique bare pop and nude pop for the last few years and keep rebuying. Is a darker shade of my natural lip.colour if that makes sense.

If Nars still do their Dolce Vita, then that's a great nude. It doesn't look like one in the bullet, but it's great on the lips.

Or not, because it's all trial and error. But, mostly stay away from the beige and pink. And try on as many as you can. Bobbi Brown are great for nudes.

Head straight to Bobbi Brown. Or, if you are in London, Lisa Eldridge has her pop up shop. They should be able to fit you for a nude.

I remember looking at Brave and struggling to choose between Brave and Craving. They are both lovely.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I’ve noted them down and will have a google later. I’m in Sydney, I shop online mostly so can probably purchase most of the brands mentioned.

I agree with you @tokyotea about Velvet Teddy! Money down the drain for me it was.
