Tips for bringing curls out

Not mine unfortunately as mine is poker straight but dd has discovered that humidity and the seaside makes her hair wavy. What can she do to encourage these curls? Any techniques or products? Thanks.

Get a cut that brings out the curls and removes some of the weight.

Have a look at the curly girl method it works great for wavy hair as well. It classifies hair into different groups 1a, 1b etc and once you know your DDs group there are tonnes of resources recommending products and techniques. I love the umberto gianni (sp?) pink curl jelly Smile

Boots Curl Creme (pink in a transparent pot, about £2) works well on my hair, and is cheap enough for an experiment! You run a little through your hair while it's wet and it helps to hold a curl while your hair dries.

I also like the Cantu products.

Only Curls products, best I’ve bought.

Swarzchkopf Seasalt spray is brilliant for beach waves, a quick spray, scrunch & air or blowdry.

Follow Curl Maven on Instagram. She has great info and tips for different types of waves and curls.
