Dr Marten sizing help!

I'm usually a size 8 with relatively wide feet, have 8's in Doc Chelsea boots and traditional lace-ups. Ordered the Blaire sandal in an 8 and there's loads of room at the end but they're only just wide enough. Worried that if I size down I'll lose the width I need and the straps will be tight. Do they look ridiculous as is? My toes are only just past the strap 🙁

I'm the same size as you, I'm sure DM sizes are different in "feminine" styles than the unisex boots and shoes. Or the 8 in the boots is a men's last, and the 8 in the sandals is a women's last.

Woman's 8 is smaller than a mens 8 and so on.

Being honest they just don’t look like they fit well. Is there another style of sandal of theirs you could try?

YungDumbThrills · 13/08/2022 21:21

I found this too. I bought the lace up sandals in the end and their amazing, super comfy. I probably could have sized down but they look and feel fine x

Agree @Afterfire, they feel ok but look weird.

Going to exchange for a 7 and if that doesn't work, will try another style

I tried the sandals in store and the assistant told me to size down. They weren't in stock so I tried my normal size and they were massive!
