I fancy getting something like that beautiful dress she wore for weddings this summer
Has anyone seen anything similar?

DarrellRivers · 20/01/2008 20:23

yep
not so worried about it being backless, just long, and green

You could (if you're flush) get a dressmaker to make you one.

yogimum · 20/01/2008 20:24

Have a look on this website www.beflirtydresses.com

yogimum · 20/01/2008 20:26

there is the "emma dress" its showing in red but it comes in emerald green.

rantinghousewife · 20/01/2008 20:27

You could get a basic type pattern like this and ask them to change it to how you would like.

DarrellRivers · 20/01/2008 20:27

Charlottes dress (evening dresses) is nice, but purple(on beflirty)

DarrellRivers · 20/01/2008 20:30

Found this on a blog here which says that that vogue pattern is about the nearest, with a bit of alteration.

DarrellRivers · 20/01/2008 20:34

or by golly here

DR that (the one you've posted) would look stunning in green.

yogimum · 20/01/2008 20:34

stunning. The lesley was the last one on short dresses. I have to be able to dance salsa in it.

rantinghousewife · 20/01/2008 20:36

Yes, that's quite close to it. Get some recommendations for a good dressmaker now!

DarrellRivers · 20/01/2008 20:36

i think i like the V1030 (the first pattern) as i could wear bra with it.

OP posts:
rantinghousewife · 20/01/2008 20:42

Yes it is lovely, actually they are all quite lovely

DarrellRivers · 20/01/2008 20:46

drools , but thinks of how lovely will look in dress
thanks for the idea
i really want a dress like that, and you can never find what you want from the shops, when you know what you want

OP posts:
rantinghousewife · 20/01/2008 20:50

I think if you're going to have a dress as beautiful as that, you may as well have it properly made for you.
Besides that, you can think of it as an heirloom piece and no one else is going to turn up in the same dress as you.

DarrellRivers · 20/01/2008 21:36

or look you can buy it on-line, or though not as keen on the original neckline

Keira's is silk chiffon, that doesn't look like chiffon.
