A makeup one

Despite wearing makeup every day it never actually disguises anything on my face. I'm using higher end products so it's not a money thing so why is if my skin doesn't look made up in the same way that others do??

What are you using and how are you applying it?
Do you definitely need it?
How good/bad is your skin?

What are you trying to hide? Higher end doesn't mean it's going to be more opaque, Revlon and Rimmel both have high cover foundations. I think you need to check the formula you're using if you want more coverage.

I would focus on skincare if I were you.

I don't tend to use makeup to hide, but to enhance my features.

WeThreeKingsofOrientAre · 12/08/2022 15:47

What are the things you are trying to disguise?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 12/08/2022 16:15

Do you regularly exfoliate? Make up won't sit properly if you don't.

Products don't work the same on everyone - if you have dry skin you might find a product some people rave about clings to dry patches and looks obvious, or if you have oily skin you might find a popular tinted moisturiser sliding off your face within hours.

Sadly make-up can be a certain amount of trial and error, though understanding your skin type and reading lots of rveows can mean you avoid many mistakes.

Something that is also worth considering is the time taken, technique used, and quality of the tools. I saw a Lisa Eldrige video and she said if you only have 20 minutes to get ready, spend 15 minutes on your base.

I'm going out for my anniversary and I've done a full face and hardly look any different

Any of this any use @andjustonemorething ?
