Holy grail mascara

Looking for recommendations for a holy grail mascara please. Non clumpy, defines, lengthens each lash, doesn’t end up under my eyes after a few hours. Suitable for contact lense wearers/ sensitive eyes. Budget - any. Thanks in advance!

Hypnose here too

crispinglovershighkick · 13/08/2022 04:25

Chanel le Volume waterproof. Doesn't transfer onto my oily eyelids, doesn't irritate sensitive eyes, washes off completely with normal cleanser, no scrubbing. Perfect consistency. Comes in brown as well as black.

Max Factor False Lash effect.

I second this. I switched from Benefit and haven't looked back. I use a lash primer first and that makes all the difference IMO.

JoanDarc · 13/08/2022 22:09

Thanks everyone! Have purchased the benefit they’re real one and will try the hourglass one too. Currently use the L’Oréal Paradise one but have found last few tubes very clumpy.

I've tried them all - from budget to high end - and have been delighted by Max Factor Masterpiece for a tenner. Was recommended on here.

OrangeBlossom28 · 13/08/2022 22:15

L'Oréal Unlimited is my go to now after using Lancôme Definicils for about 25 years.

Lipsandlashes · 13/08/2022 22:17

The only mascara I can get on with is Maybelline Colossal - and only the yellow tube with metallic purple writing one.

Ohsugarhoneyicetea · 13/08/2022 22:19

Ive tried all of these and agree max factor masterpiece is excellent, non clumpy unlike the rest. Although recently I have swapped to rimmel kind and free mascara and prefer it, less irritation as I get very itchy eyes at this time of the year.

yaboreme · 13/08/2022 22:21

Lancôme doll eyes - always buy the gift set at Christmas and sets me up for the year!

Aworldofmyown · 13/08/2022 22:26

I had used No7 360 for years but they have just changed it so I switched recently and this is excellent- ticks all your boxes.

Dreamweave mascara.. amazing. Started using it 4 years ago and never used anything else since

PeterPomegranate · 13/08/2022 23:01

If you have smudging problems (I do) then you need a Tubing mascara. No 7 do a nice one but I’ve liked all those I’ve tried (except Mac which I assumed would be amazing but wasn’t).

Love roller lash. Tried the other benefit ones and not liked them as much. I don't find it comes off during the day - I think that's a complex thing around skin type etc

My current fav is soap and glory

JustAnotherViper · 14/08/2022 11:26

Another Lancôme fan here. I also buy at Christmas for the whole year

Lancome Hypnose

This

NorthFaceofthelaundrypile · 14/08/2022 11:37

I’ll always try and find one of the Lancôme gift sets in the January sales.

DazzlePaintedBattlePants · 14/08/2022 11:43

Boots Stay Perfect is indeed perfect.

Babymamaroon · 14/08/2022 12:17

Hourglass Caution Extreme. Absolutely brilliant!

MissStress · 14/08/2022 12:33

Another vote for Hypnose - I only like the original though, none of the variations such as doll eyes as I don’t get on the the different brush types in the range

PegasusReturns · 14/08/2022 13:03

I just bought a travel size Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme mascara whilst going through airport and it is amazing.

Very buildable, friend and daughter both asked if I’d had my lashes “done” (as in semi permanents).

Comes off easily with Nivea eye make up remover which is my all time fave.

I swear by Esscence Get Big Lashes volume mascara, it's about £2.50! and their Liquid Ink eyeliner! incredible, they sell it in Wilkos

Another Houglass fan here.
