Post-partum wardrobe sort out

New mum of two. Have a five year old and a 6 week old.

My clothes situation was pretty dire pre-baby, let alone now. I've totally lost sense of what suits me and live in about five outfits, yet have drawers and a wardrobe full of clothes that are either too small, unsuitable or now dated.

I'm a size 18, small waist, big shoulders and hips and moderate boobs. Don't want to spend a fortune but want to feel better about myself whilst getting healthier and hopefully back into a size 14 (where I feel more comfortable). Needs to be functional but also make me feel a bit more like me!

My plan is to get rid of my old clothes via the clothes recycling skip and Vinted and start again. Ideally using supermarkets/low cost ish shops to make up a sort of interim capsule wardrobe for things that suit me and fit well to tide me over the next few months. Then in due course, I'll buy better quality/more quantity once at the size id like.

Any ideas where or how to begin please?

I’d make a start listing stuff you want to sell online, it’s satisfying to make sales and you can use the money towards your new wardrobe.

I’d also start researching the new temporary capsule wardrobe. What works for your lifestyle? Which styles suit your body shape? What colour palette suits you? Check out seasonal colour analysis and /or Kibbe. Spend some time on Instagram or Pinterest working out some potential outfits, making sure there are enough versatile plain items. That way when you hit the shops you’re already focused.
