I have my hair coloured every 6 weeks it costs £99 of which £29 is a squirt of OlaPlex for 5 mins after the dye has been washed out….can you buy this same product directly to save money?

Yes- it's available relatively widely. Try Cult Beauty. I've heard on here that it's not as strong as the salon strength stuff but have know knowledge of that myself.

Thanks for that top tip….

Had a look and there are so many OlaPlex products to choose from - any idea which would be the one most similar to what they squirt on at the hairdressers after rinsing out my dye?

No it is not widely available at all the product that they use at the hairdressers is a different strengths and composition to the one that’s available to the general public to buy at home so yes you can use a olaPlex product at home but not the one that they’re currently putting in your hair.

Hi OP, not sure where you live, but I have been having my hair done (colour/high/lowlights, touch up, cuts, blowdry) at local hairdresser schools since forever, never pay more than £50, and often even less (£19 for roots, cut & blow dry!) Many vocational colleges that offer beauty courses will have this available, including hair/nail/facial treatments for a fraction of the cost.
Never had any bad experiences, just make sure you allow for enough time as sometimes it can take a bit longer.

(I'm a hairdresser) the Olaplex in salon treatment is a 2 step process. No.1 is added in to your colour, and then No.2 is applied to the hair after the colour is rinsed. All of the other products in the range contain the same bond multiplier which is the strengthening action you get from the Olaplex, just in smaller amounts. You may be able to buy 1 & 2 somewhere online but it is supposed to be salon only.
