Shoes/trainers to wear with mid-length to long skirts.

I don’t want sandals, but trainers (I think) to look casual with bare legs. It will be to wear with knee length to longish (but above the ankle) skirts. I’m not a clothes lover particularly, I never go shopping so don’t know where to begin. I tried these trainers (pictured) but even though I love the look, they were WAY too narrow. Any ideas from anyone?

Or alternatively am I better off looking at plimsoles ie canvas top, rubber soles?

I wear white plimsolls with dresses and play suits in summer - very casual and sooo comfy - they do get dirty easily though!

@Iamclearlyamug ok, that might be an option. I’m looking to wear them for as long as people aren’t wearing tights/leggings (at which point I’ve got boots and shoes) so maybe I’d be better off going for a colour?

A shameless bump.

Would those ankle high plimsoles look ok? Are they called high tops???

I’m out of my depth a bit with summer dressing, I’m more of a winter person tbh.
