Proper red lipstick

Can anyone recommend a proper red lipstick? I’ve got loads but all of them either look pinky red, orangey red or browny red. I just want red red!
mid it matters I’ve got dark brown hair & olive skin. Going on holiday tomorrow do should have a reasonable selection at the airport

Great, a choice of a few is fab. Where we are going has el Corte ingles & Sephora so if the airport is rubbish I can look there

Mac lady danger
Remember to prime your lips with a dusting of foundation so the colour really pops!

I would go to the Mac counter. Lady Danger may work on you but as a fellow olive skinned brunette, Chilli is the best red for me.

Revlon Really Red or Revlon Certainly Red both look properly red on me but I am very pale skinned so that could make a difference to how they look

Charlotte tilbury - love bite

This is Certainly Red on the left and Really Red on the right, very similar colours but the Really Red is matte

This or Ruby Woo

Another fan of Ruby Woo (pretty pale, dark hair with highlights in case colouring of the people recommending helps😂)

I love Ruby Woo but it’s quite blue toned imo. Russian Red feels more of a pure red.

I love Dior rouge 999 in velvet finish.

Boots No.7 Soft Paprika vs Ruby Woo

These are quite different reds in my opinion. Ruby woo is blue toned, I can't wear it, it looks awful on my skin. Soft paprika suits me beautifully.

Accidentally picked up a No.7 lipstick the other day .. it's sooo good !
