How many would you take for the evenings for 2 weeks?
I'm going to a hot country and I'm taking 9 so far having just panic bought another.

@Watapalava really? Do you think
people judge for rewearing they same thing? Do you judge others?

MrsFortSQ · 07/08/2022 11:03

Do people notice what others are rewearing on holiday? Unless it was a gorgeous outfit or the other extreme something truly awful I really wouldn't notice!
I used to take WAY too much stuff, full outfit for every night, loads of sandals etc and I'd bring half back unworn. I now travel light (ish!)

While some are waiting round the conveyer, for their 20 odd kilos of luggage (remember someone has to carry it), wondering if their bag is even in the same country, l am speeding off in a taxi with my cabin bag. One of the items in the bag will be a reversible dress.

@blueshoes depends on the holiday. For a beach type holiday yes I’d definitely get showered and changed in the evening.

@manlyago thanks for that explanation. That makes sense.

I can’t believe people take a different dress for each night. Of course you can wear an evening dress twice. Who really cares if someone notices?

@Bearsan - I wondered whose dress it was which was walking about all by itself without an owner 😂

I haven't explained it well

I don't own 9 dresses. When we go on holiday to a hot climate,I always shower before going out for dinner.Any dress/outfit put on after my shower will only be on for a few hours in the cooler evening (still very warm)and I would wear it another evening. I don't care about people noticing I've already worn something a couple of days previously.I pack light and never wish I'd packed more.

Singinghollybob · 07/08/2022 18:17

I tend to wear dresses only once but would wear shorts/a skirt a couple of times with a different top each time. I like to wear a variety of outfits and look forward to buying and planning what I'm going to wear each evening.

For me it’s not about cleanliness

its about being seen in same outfit in space of a week

i must really over think it as I’d be really embarrassed!

shorts with diff top defo but dress is so obvious as an outfit so people would notice

even ignoring other people I wouldn’t feel good rewearing

having said that I may feel different if two week holiday but even then I’d take at least 10

Is this in a hotel?

When we go away, we go to a different restaurant most nights so in theory I could wear the same dress every night and I doubt anyone would notice.

Actually this year we went to four different islands in just over a fortnight so I'm pretty sure I was covered with my four evening outfits 😁

Also to the pp who mentioned shoes, I have a pair of sandals that goes with all them but** even then I just took a pair of sparkly gold sandals which went with everything.
