Wedding guest outfit

I've got a wedding to go to soon. I have to admit it's been a while since I've been to one. I'm now early 40s rather than 10 years younger when I could wear what I wanted (could be psychological!)

I'm the heaviest I've ever been although technically not overweight. I'm 5'11 and 12 stone. I'm a 12 (just!)

What are people wearing nowadays?!

Just to add the weather forecast is hot (yes I've left my outfit to the last minute!)

Regardless of what others are wearing now, I'd wear something that suits your figure? You are tall and slim by your measurements, so most things would look great! Are you hourglass, inverted V, pear shaped etc? Hair/eyes/skin tones? Formal church wedding/registry office or other???

I'm pretty straight up and down, I carry weight on my waist.
I'm blonde, green eyes, fair but do have a bit of a tan. I really like this but not sure it's summery enough. I had a similar outfit before which I loved! Unfortunately it doesn't fit otherwise I'd wear it again!

If it not too hot to wear it I would wear that - v envious of having a figure which can take it

I'm in the same boat, op. I haven't been to a wedding for years. To make it worse, the one I'm going to is my niece's wedding, which means that I am now an elderly relative instead of being the same generation as the b&g 😱 I'm only 41.

Wolf and badger have some nice dresses but I have no idea what is appropriate 😕

Yes similar to me although the bride is a similar age. My last one was five years ago but I was two stone lighter 🤦‍♀️
