Claw clips for hair

I keep seeing these on other people that look really nice and actually appear to hold their hair up properly. The only ones I can find in boots or Superdrug are the shiny plastic tortoiseshell ones which don't work for me. Where do you all buy yours??

I’ve just seen some green and pink ones in Matalan, if you fancy different colours.

They don’t work hugely well on my fineish hair either - the best ones I’ve had are from Home Bargains.

Amazon - DD has these, there are a couple of shiny ones in the pack but matte ones as well.

These are good. Have a few now and proven to be very robust.

Jalisco · 04/08/2022 18:44

Oops sorry for the stupidly long hyperlink

Ethelfromnumber73 · 04/08/2022 18:44

I have a Boots one which is great, it has rubber pads on the inside which grip the hair in.

SlipperyLizard · 04/08/2022 19:04

@Lotsofpots those are amazing! Just need to work out which to buy first …

SlipperyLizard · 04/08/2022 19:05

@Odile13 love those too! The ones you can get in shops are so dull by comparison

RaininSummer · 04/08/2022 19:36

I can recommend the Amazon ones. Very strong and grippy. I do not recommend Claire's accessories ones at all. Bought two and both fell apart within 3 uses and I got a refund.

I feel very old, I remember these the first time they were in😱

TurquoisePterodactyl · 05/08/2022 19:59

Came here to say this, too.

I have fine, straight hair and I get my clasps from Primark. They're flat on the bottom so grip very close to your scalp and the claws meet together really tightly when they close so they keep my hair super secure. They're only about £1.50 each, too, and come in all kinds of colours. They're absolutely brilliant.

Haus1234 · 06/08/2022 08:59

I have a few from Accessorize, they’re pretty good (thick hair so need big ones!).
