Everyday knickers help needed please - I usually wear these beauties www.marksandspencer.com/5-pack-cotton-rich-lace-trim-full-briefs/p/clp60437456 but could really do with something similar but “stronger” to hold in my ever-increasing tum. Any suggestions please?

I’d also recommend wirapa on Amazon. Work out at about £4-5 per pair. I was looking for exactly the same thing as you were and they were recommended on another MN thread. They are absolutely amazing, really hold you in, don’t budge at all and they tumble dry. I’ve followed lots of MN recommendations in the past with varying success, but these are the best by far. I’ve recommended them to friends IRL too and they’re really happy with them.

Bloody unattractive to look at though, a bit like mens y fronts.

I asked this question a while ago and had some good advice

Another vote for Wirapa on Amazon - bought based on recommendations here and straight away did a cull on my underwear drawer and bought more.

DameCelia · 04/08/2022 16:52

Wirapa!!

MenaiMna · 04/08/2022 17:01

I wear those ones in your first link, comfy but not a holder-in and the lace stretches out quite quickly. For strength the cotton playtex maxi brief multi pack fits high on the waist so gives a snugness but again not holding like shape wear.
Playtex 3 Pack Maxi 95% Cotton High Rise Stretch Briefs P00BQ Knickers about £20

HumourReplacementTherapy · 04/08/2022 18:49

I'll Second Primark!
They have a bit of control round the tummy but not too much. A 3pm waistband so it doesnt dig in.
Come in a 3 pack.

PepsiMaxandPringleStacks · 04/08/2022 18:49

Tesco full briefs!!

Jalisco · 04/08/2022 18:51

Sloggi's. Not cheap but very good quality, look new forever, and fit any shape at all.

Thisisnotreallymyname · 10/08/2022 18:33

Agree Sloggis

SavBbunny · 10/08/2022 18:40

Sloggi for everyday
Elomi for posh with the bras. First lacey knickers I actually wear and I'm a large lady.
Maidenform shorts for smooth lines. I buy at TK Maxx.

iklboo · 10/08/2022 19:05

Boxer shorts all the way for me. So much more comfy.

INeedNewShoes · 10/08/2022 19:57

The very similar John Lewis version of your M&S lace top full brief have slightly better hold just because the material is slightly less floppy/stretchy.

They make me feel like my tummy is at least a bit contained without resorting to control pants.

Having said that, with so many votes for the wirapa ones I'm going to have a look at those.

WaitingForWinter1 · 10/08/2022 19:57

Sloggi Maxi

MindPalace · 04/08/2022 12:22

M&S flexifit full briefs. They work for me.

I find them very saggy and they keep falling down.

Maryminx · 10/08/2022 20:11

Not keen on M and S knickers, lace is scratchy
primark full knickers are excellent, better quality too,

NannaKaren · 10/08/2022 20:11

John Lewis do multi packs of ‘big knickers’ they are cotton but no magic powers, but come in packs of neutral, assorted, black/white - best ones I’ve found … I order to be delivered to my local Waitrose as our John Lewis closed …

britespark1 · 16/08/2022 10:20

Just wanted to come back and say thanks again for all the suggestions. I’ll definitely be trying as many as I can but for now I bought a pack of the Wirapa ones off Amazon and they are EXACTLY what I was after. They are very comfy and hold my rather substantial tummy in nicely without being restrictive. Perfect! Thanks again!

Can I ask which wirapa ones you went for please?

TheHumanSatsuma · 16/08/2022 11:34

Big Bloomer company. Brilliant

britespark1 · 16/08/2022 16:43

I can’t get the link to work without it linking to my personal Amazon account - they are “wirarpa Women's Cotton High Waisted Compression Panties Full Coverage Brief Underwear Tummy Control Knickers 4 Pack”

Not sexy at all but just what I was after 😂

I found great knickers in Sainsburys yesterday, really impressed.

TollgateDebs · 17/08/2022 18:58

I like this company and have these www.sandras-online.co.uk/collections/knickers/products/sloggi-type-cotton-lycra-maxi-control-brief-2-pack
