2nd lobe piercing not healing

It's been 7 weeks now. I went to a proper piercer who used a needle. I can't remember what metal they're pierced with but I don't think it's titanium but neither do I think it's cheap metal particularly. They are still slightly tender with one still leaking a bit of fluid every day.
I'm following the care instructions - cleaning around the piercing with saline solution and a q tip. Not touching or twisting them.
Is there anything else I should be doing? Or not doing?

I had an extra lobe piercing last year. I did everything that the piercer recommended but it just wouldn't settle. Eventually it became so swollen that the earring disappeared inside and I had to pull it out from the back. Fortunately it was a tiny stud.

No idea why it happened but I won't be having any further piercings. The ones I had done when younger healed without any issues.

Thanks for the further messages. It's finally getting better. I've been soaking it in cooled boiled water and salt - leaving the water as hot as I can stand. It's a method I've used on my son when he's had infected nails. I let it air dry then I've been applying savlon. I've woken up this morning with it a lot less swollen and lots of gunk coming out of the back. I think the infection is finally being drawn out. Phew. No more piercings for me I think!
