Following on from my last thread, things you cba with, what will they have to prise out of your cold, dead hands? Clothes, treatments, products, jewellery...

For me,

  1. Facial threading. If I let this go, just please take me out the back and put me out my misery.
  2. Colouring my (head) hair (I am naturally "librarian brown" with a few greys but am blonde at heart)
  3. Bootcut jeans

My ugly tea caddy that my husband hates (which makes me love it even more) ans citalopram.

Eeksteek · 31/07/2022 23:33

Coffee. Chocolate truffles. Copper house gin and fever tree. The only product my skin will put up with is Aveeno and Aussie 3 min miracle, so those I suppose. Honestly, you can just take the mirrors and leave me the coffee, thanks. I’m cheaper to maintain (but expensive to feed!)

ClinkeyMonkey · 01/08/2022 00:27

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer. I have xanthelasma and it does a really decent job of covering it. Better than anything else I've tried.

Big big pants. The biggest.

My long cardigans. I have (ahem) one or two.

Boxowine · 01/08/2022 02:55

Olivella shampoo and conditioner. Hard to find so I order it from their site.

The Ordinary peel.

Fake tan. I don’t even look tanned when I wear it, it just lifts my complexion from
corpse to human.

Perfume. Never fully dressed without it!

Black eyeliner, red lipstick and red nail polish. Can never give them up. I'll be wearing them when I'm in my 80s, if I'm around that long. 😁
Another one who won't give up cardigans, particularly my long, swishy ones. My linen mix ones are on rotation at the moment. All black.
Black clothing in general!
Revlon Volume & Length Magnified Mascara. I've tried others but always come back to this one.
Mylee roll on sweet almond oil - essential as I do my own gel nails.
Skin & Me - definitely keeping my rosacea under control.
Fairly new to my skincare routine, but Caudalie Premier Cru eye cream. Again, have tried lots of others over the years which often exacerbated things like lines and puffiness. Not this one, and worth the ££. And I love the little metal applicator - instantly soothing.

CountFoscoslittlewhitemice · 01/08/2022 10:27

Kerestase elixir hair oil. The only thing that does anything to my dry, frizzy hair

Savon de Marseille soap. Doesn't dry my skin out ( seeing a theme here?)

OPI nail and cuticle oil

Citalopram and biotin tablets

Dying my hair blonde, lip filler (done in moderation- I don't give a F if it's out of fashion) and bronzing powder

NorthernSoul55 · 01/08/2022 14:02

Tweezers. I have several pairs but my best were bought in a department store in Rome when I'd forgotten to pack them. I panic if I mislay them!
Box dye. I'm in my 60s and I've no idea what colour my natural hair is.
Moisturiser. Nothing special but used literally every day since I was 15.
Concealer. For my dark under eyes. Instantly makes me appear healthier.

peaceandove · 01/08/2022 18:17

Erborian BB Crème in Clair. I used to swear by IT Cosmetics CC cream but Erborian is sooooo much better.
