You look like a size 12

waterlego · 31/07/2022 11:25

I was going to say 14-16. You look great with a lovely shape.

She's actually right. The skirt is a 16.

Am a 16 on the bottom. 12/14 on top.

I was told I must be mistaken that I'm a 16. Jeans in primark I'm an 18.

I'm shocked, I would of said 12.

pylonpal · 31/07/2022 11:27

I think this thread just shows how out of touch people are with how people are getting bigger. So someone who is a size 16 is now perceived by many on here as the much slimmer size 12. (Yes I know you are size 12/14 on top).

JustJustWhy · 31/07/2022 11:28

I'd have said 14 (and very jealous of your chest!)

CallOnMe · 31/07/2022 11:29

I would say 12-14 as you look quite busty so you may need a 16 in some tops.

You have a great figure though so I wouldn’t get hung up on sizes!

I have one friend who is size 8 bottoms and size 16 top, due to her large bust.
And one friend who’s the opposite with size 8 on top and size 16 on the bottom as she has gorgeous hips and bum.

waterlego · 31/07/2022 11:31

I agree @pylonpal. I was surprised that several were suggesting size 10 or even 8. A size 10 is very small and a size 8 is tiny. Don’t get me wrong, I think the OP looks great and healthy, but clearly not a size 8-10.

Watermill · 31/07/2022 11:32

I would have said 16 top, 14 bottom, so completely wrong Grin Well done on the weight loss OP.

BeenthereGotTee · 31/07/2022 11:32

Fabulous legs! Fabulous shape! Size/labels are so irrelevant - i have everything from 10 - 20 in my wardrobe due to style and big boobs and bum.

Willowthewispy · 31/07/2022 11:33

14/16

TeapotTitties · 31/07/2022 11:33

I'm very surprised. I would've said 12-14.

You look great OP.

Baconking · 31/07/2022 11:33

I would have said size 12. Definitely not a 16, I mostly wear a 14 and I look bigger than you

drawacircleroundit · 31/07/2022 11:34

14 bottom, 16 top, and very nicely proportioned!

Whoatealltheminieggs · 31/07/2022 11:34

14-16 would be my guess

RainydaysandFridays · 31/07/2022 11:34

16

dianthus101 · 31/07/2022 11:35

14

MatildaJayne · 31/07/2022 11:37

I would have said 14. You’re a slimmer version of me and it’s my waist size that I could do with reducing. Hard after the menopause though. You look lovely.

BarbaraofSeville · 31/07/2022 11:37

The real issue is that women can't claim to be any particular size as clothes vary so much even within the same shops. I wouldn't be surprised at all that you need 16/18 in cheaper shops or European brands while at the same time can probably wear a 12 from somewhere like M&S or Next.

lljkk · 31/07/2022 11:37

At 5'5", I want to guess 40-32-42.
Size 16 at M&S. So exactly average UK female adult?

Antarcticant · 31/07/2022 11:38

You've got lovely slim legs and a curvy bust. Make the most of them.

Pibbitypobity · 31/07/2022 11:40

Thanks I've still got another 28lbs to be at my goal weight. Aim to be there by Xmas.

OP posts:
pushions · 31/07/2022 11:40

@lljkk I'm surprised a 32" waist is a 16 at m&s?

I think this thread just shows how out of touch people are with how people are getting bigger. So someone who is a size 16 is now perceived by many on here as the much slimmer size 12. (Yes I know you are size 12/14 on top).

I disagree, I'm a size 0 and would say op looked a size 12 (hip).

I disagree, it's hard to tell scale from a photo. It's the same reason why when people see celebs in real life most are smaller & slimmer than imagined.
