Beach/pool cover ups

Where’s good to look for these? Saw lots of people wearing lovely ones on holiday but I wasn’t brave enough to ask where from.

I have one which is a very thin linen t shirt dress which I wear to death on holiday but it does tend to get a bit sweaty so could do with a couple more!

Not looking for cheap, happy to spend more for natural fibres and something that lasts.

Thank you

Little bump please!

I have found Aspiga but hoping for some other options

Seafolly have nice stuff if you want to spend a bit more - lots is cotton and lovely and cool

I find these are always best and cheapest to buy when actually on holiday. I got a lovely one this year in Greece for €23, similar at home is upwards of £80. I usually buy one whenever I am on a beach holiday so now have a selection. I also waft around the house in them at home in summer!

I have now bought 3 linen Boden kaftans on Vinted. Immaculate condition. All under 16 quid each. I like a good quality cover up but won't pay Aspiga, Melissa Odabash (or Boden full price) prices. In fact I need an intervention... Grin

I buy oversized cotton long shirts in H&M - they do white and several colours eg pink, green etc

Other than that I have also used there linen dressing gowns as a cover up

Thanks for all the ideas! I don’t mind spending especially for linen or cotton so will have a look at Seafolly and Boden thank you.

Long cotton shirts would work well if I had good legs… sadly I am short and hourglass/pear so ideally need something knee length and a bit more shaped in the middle!

Dressing gowns is an interesting idea, I’ve always wondered what the short thin ones are useful for, (I like my dressing gowns long and cosy) this could be the answer!

I bought one from here and it is really very good quality for the price and even the Hubster commented on it. Worth having a look uk.cupshe.com

I bought one from Cupshe too @TollgateDebs along with a swimsuit and very impressed by both!

This is the cover up I went for and really happy with it

Do bear in mind that cheap is quite useful for leaving by the side of the pool, on the beach etc whilst you're having a swim. You don't want to be fretting about your £80 one walking... Same goes for sunglasses and beach bag.

minipie · 23/08/2022 16:23

True about cheap better for leaving unattended!

I’ve found some Seafolly ones on sale which I like the look of so might start there

Cupshe I have never heard of but have some nice things, not much 100% cotton but a mix could be ok

Thank you all
