Hi all,

I've got a big party next weekend. and I'm currently looking in the mirror wondering where my young youthful healthy skin has gone. Smile

Can anyone recommend a good primer which might be able to (hide) smooth out my skin before I coat it with foundation?

Depending on your skin type, Elf Primer Putty is pretty thick and smoothing, Smashbox photo finish is lovely too.

My skin is quite dry at the moment I like Bobbi Brown Face Base and then Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow on top.

I’ve got dry skin and love a no 7 one. Makes me dewy and my make up doesn’t budge.

I love the L'Oréal Infallible one.

Depends what your skin type is. For 'smoothing' you need something with silicone, they're usually marketed as pore primers so benefit porefessional, Nyx pore filler etc. If you've got dry patches then bobbi brown face base or embryolisse lait concentrate. If you're oily/spotty then something sticky like the Elf mint primer would work. Smashbox make all types of primers and are all grear, but they're winding down their uk operations so are now hard to find.

I use the No 7 one.

I'm currently using maybelline baby skin and it's lovely. My make up glides on. It's as good as the smash box one (and similar consistently) only about 1/3 the price.

I swear by clarins smooth perfecting touch.

Benefit Pore Professional Primer is the business.

My holy grail are both of the EA flawless finish ones. The serum one I use more sparingly as it's a bit more pricy, so I use the non serum one as a daily one. Sometimes I just wear that on its own without foundation as gives a lovely glow.
