Reading glasses

Ok. I need reading glasses. Proper ones from the opticians.

Having never worn glasses, I have no idea what frames are "stylish" or "fashionable" or indeed what would actually suit my face shape.

The last eye test showed I needed reading glasses but I stood in front of the frames, completely overwhelmed and said I'd come back another day. I ordered cheap magnifying glasses from eBay and have used those for the last 2/3 years.

So any tips would be appreciated. Thank you.

Do you need magnifying reading glasses that can be bought on the high street or do you have a prescription that need to be made up for you?

what shape is your face, what is your colouring, where do you live?

Just try them on and see what suits you

Just need magnifying glasses.

Live in the uk. Going to my local independent opticians.

Small face, square shaped. Pale skin, dark hair with lots of grey and blonde highlights around my face.

If you just need magnifying glasses you can buy them here and there without spending lots at an Opticians.

have you got a Tiger shop near you? I think they’re called Tiger Copenhagen. At the moment they have very very nice reading glasses. Translucent frames in nice colours, retro round shapes with a keyhole bridge. I don’t think you can go wrong with them. They’re between £4-6 a pair.

I've been buying cheap readers for the last few years. Might have a look round and see if I can find some nicer ones.

Izipizi are really good quality readers. Can find them in some independent shops in the UK but I have also bought them online. They send from France.
